Welcome to Mayfield School, one of the first state all-through schools in the country.

MAYFIELD SCHOOL OPEN EVENT 2024

We are pleased to announce an open day of our new school building which includes a school tour & meeting the staff at Mayfield School.

Our first Year R Open Event will be happening on Thursday 10th October, taking place from 4 - 5pm and the second open event will be on Monday 4th November at the same time.

Our Year 7 Open Evening will take place on Wednesday 9th October, taking place from 5 - 7:30pm.

Mayfield is a heavily oversubscribed school in the north of the City of Portsmouth. We provide a co-educational, non-denominational day school for children aged 6 months to 16 years. We have a single governing body and vision which is to provide our pupils with:

Outstanding academic standards, with a particular focus on acquiring a foreign language, developing competency as a musician and performer, as well as encouraging sporting prowess - all in a timely fashion;
Outstanding pastoral care based on nurturing each individual's self-esteem and ambition to realize their full potential;
Outstanding opportunities to develop the 6Rs (resilience, responsibility, respect, resourcefulness, ready and reflective) and ‘character’ experiences to succeed both at school and prepare them for being a well-equipped member of society and ready for the world of work.
